Jointly Issued by the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs

Based on the results of risk assessment, the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs approved that five states including Almaty, East Kazakhstan, South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl and Kyzylorda in the Republic of Kazakhstan were immune areas without foot-and-mouth disease (FMD), which will enter into force on the day of issuance.

The original Announcement No. 22 of Year 1999 on the Ban of FMD Epidemic in the above five regions in the Republic of Kazakhstan promulgated by China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (the predecessor of AQSIQ) shall be terminated simultaneously.
